This MoU represents an official understanding between KIAS and KUM to implement a solar energy system installation project at KIAS. This project marks an important step towards establishing KIAS as a model educational institution utilizing green and sustainable energy sources.

KIAS will undertake this initiative to reduce electricity costs by utilizing renewable solar energy. In the long term, this effort will benefit not only KIAS but also the local community and the education industry in understanding the advantages of green technology.

The project is expected to begin within two months after the MoU exchange, with the first phase involving the installation of solar panels at the Iraq Hall and Khadijah Dormitory. The entire project is anticipated to be completed within 12 months.

Additionally, KIAS and KUM are exploring long-term collaboration opportunities in several other areas. These include joint research and development (R&D) in green energy, as well as training and skills programs focusing on renewable energy technology.

Both parties aim to explore more collaboration opportunities in the green technology sector, benefiting students, educators, and the local community.

Through this partnership, both parties are confident that this initiative will have a positive impact in promoting environmental sustainability and advancing green technology in Malaysia.
